Abstract

A trolley and rail system for use in relation to an extension and retraction arrangement (10) with a trolley structure (42) retained for axial extension and retraction along a body portion of a rail arrangement comprising first and second rails (36, 38) disposed in substantially parallel spaced orientation. The trolley structure (42) can have a central portion and first and second wing portions with load bearing wheels for rolling along rigid bearing surfaces of the first and second rails (36, 38). The bearing surfaces and the wheels can have correspondingly contoured profiles. The trolley structure (42) can have a ventrally disposed alcove (52). Constant force springs (78, 80) can assist in a travel of the trolley structure (42) in relation to the rail arrangement. The trolley structure (42) or a support arm (54) coupled thereto can have threaded mounting holes (145) for retaining a flat panel monitor (12).
