Abstract

The invention relates to a device known as the TVDv3 which has considerable hard disk storage characteristics and which, as such, can be used to store a large quantity of audio and video information in different standard multimedia formats (MP3, MP4 and MPEG3) which are controlled or reproduced manually using a keyboard or a front selector switch, whereby the video is played on one or more monitors and/or the audio is played on stereophonic equipment. According to the invention, multimedia information can be accessed and selected quickly and intuitively with high-quality image and sound reproduction. The invention is also a marketing tool, with the inclusion of local and national advertising along the route of different types of passenger land vehicles. The invention can be used to maintain integrity, quality and security in order to combat data piracy with the aid restricted access using an installer key, thereby guaranteeing payments corresponding to author rights and transmission.

This invention also offers the ability to regionalize the information that is desired to be transmitted through a GPS system and can program the reproduction of the information corresponding to the region in time and form, or according to what is agreed by the transport line. The integration of its components and its compact and versatile design for installation and operation is what allows it to be easily incorporated into the vehicle.

That is why the present invention has been conceived to solve the current problem with the entertainment resources in audio and video in the mass media of passenger transport or in its modalities; in such a way that the multimedia material of audio and video can be rented and cannot be extracted or duplicated or altered, respecting the intellectual property, the authorship of the producing houses and the payment of corresponding fees and adequate transmission in time and in the form of local, regional or national advertisements.

The present invention consists of an equipment with auto-stereo format identified as TVDv3 (digital video transport), with DIN dimensions for passenger self-transport, which has a non-removable fixed storage medium where music, movies, commercials, videos can be stored and other multimedia material safely avoiding being extracted or duplicated. The reproduction of the information stored in the TVDv3 equipment operates with an encoded representation (algorithm) that can be used to compress audio sequences in mono or stereo and video. The information packets in the mapping create a filtered subset of the input audio signal. A psychoacoustic model creates a set of data to control the counter and encoder.
