[0002] 低コヒーレント光を用いた光コヒーレンス'トモグラフィー(Optical Coherence Tomog raphy: OCT)により眼底の断層(断面)画像を非侵襲で得る方法が知られている。ま た、 OCTにより眼底の断層画像を得る OCT装置の光学系と、従来から一般的に用 V、られてきた眼底の正面(表面)画像を得る眼底カメラ(Fundus Camera: FC)の光学 系と、が組み合わされた複合型の眼科撮影装置が提案されている (USP5, 847, 8 06 (特開平 10— 33484号公報)参照)。

発明を実施するための最良の形態
[0015] 本発明の実施態様を図面に基づき説明する。図 1は本発明の実施態様である眼科 撮影装置の光学系及び制御系の概略構成図である。なお、本実施態様では、被検 者眼の奥行き方向を Z方向とし、奥行き方向に直交する水平方向を X方向,鉛直方 向を Y方向とする。

スーパー.ルミネッセント.ダイオード(SUper Luminescent Diode : SLD)等の測定(撮 影)用赤外光源 27は、測定光 (撮影光,物体光)及び参照光として用いられる低コヒ 一レント光を発する光源であり、例えば、中心波長 840nmで 50nmの帯域(波長 815〜8 65應域)を持つ光源である。光源 27からの赤外光は、導光体である光ファイバ一 38 aを通過し、光分割部材と光結合部材とを兼ねるファイバーカップラー 26に入射し、 測定光と参照光とに分割される。
[0024] 測定光のファイバーカップラー 26から眼底 Efまでの光路には、導光体である光ファ ィバー 38bと、眼 Eの屈折力に合わせて光軸方向に移動可能なリレーレンズ 24と、走 查ユニット 23と、リレーレンズ 22と、ダイクロイツクミラー 40と、対物レンズ 10と、が配 置されている。また、測定光の眼底 Efから受光素子 35までの光路には、対物レンズ 1 0からファイバーカップラー 26までと、導光体である光ファイバ一 38dと、光結合部材 であるファイバーカップラー 34と、が配置されている。光ファイバ一 38bの端部 39bは 、眼底 Efと共役な位置に配置されている。走査ユニット 23は、一対のガルバノミラー 2 3aを含み、測定光を X及び Z又は Y方向に走査させるために、駆動機構部 51により ガルバノミラー 23aが揺動(回転)可能になっている。また、ガルバノミラー 23aの反射 面は、眼 Eの瞳孔と共役な位置に配置されている(本実施態様では、一対のガルバノ ミラー 23aの中間位置と瞳孔とが共役な位置関係となるように配置されて 、る)。

[0028] ファイバーカップラー 34に入射した測定光と参照光とは合成され、眼底 Efの各層 で反射された測定光の光路長と光路長変更ユニット 31により変化された参照光の光 路長とが等しいときの干渉現象に基づき、反射測定光の Z方向の強度分布が得られ る(本実施態様では、この方式を キャン (linear scanning)とする)。また、測定光の X又は Y方向への走査と参照光の光路長の変化とにより、眼底 Efの X-Z面又は Y-Z 面の二次元断層画像が得られる(本実施態様では、この方式を Bスキャン (longitudin al scanning)とする)。また、測定光の X及び Y方向への走査により、眼底 Efの X_Y面 の二次元断層画像が得られる(本実施態様では、この方式を Cスキャン (transversal s canning)とする)。さらに、これらの方式を利用して、眼底 Efの三次元断層画像の得ら れる。すなわち、測定光の X及び Y方向への走査と参照光の光路長の変化とにより、 眼底 Efの三次元断層画像が得られる。
[0029] なお、 Aスキャンにおいて、最初に大きい強度が得られた位置 (部分)が眼底 Efの 表面(表層)である。したがって、測定光の X又は Y方向への走査による Aスキャンで の最初に大きい強度が得られた位置 (部分)の繋ぎ合わせにより、眼底 Efの二次元 表面 (表層)画像が得られる。また、測定光の X及び Y方向への走査による Aスキャン での最初に大きい強度が得られた位置 (部分)の繋ぎ合わせにより、眼底 Efの三次 元表面 (表層)画像が得られる。
[0030] SLO光学系 300について説明する。本実施態様の SLO光学系 300では、 OCT光 学系 200の光源 27,光ファイバ一 38a及び 38b,走査ユニット 23,ダイクロイツクミラ 一 40,対物レンズ 10,等が共用されている。また、ファイバ一端部 39bとリレーレンズ 24との間にはハーフミラー 60が配置されており、ハーフミラー 60の反射方向には、 共焦点光学系を構成するコンデンサーレンズ 61及びアパーチャ 62と、受光素子 63 と、が配置されている。アパーチャ 62は、眼底 Efに共役な位置に配置されている。こ のような構成により、光源 27からの赤外測定光が走査ユニット 23により X及び Y方向 に走査され、アパーチャ 62と共役な眼底 Ef位置 (部分)力 の反射測定光が受光素 子 63で受光され、眼底 Efの正面画像が得られる。
[0031] 次に、以上のような構成を有する装置の動作について説明する。
[0032] 図示なき前眼部観察光学系による眼 Eの前眼部像がモニタ 75に表示されたら、 SL O光学系 300による眼底 Efの赤外正面画像がモニタ 75に表示されるように、眼 Eに 対する装置 (光学系)のァライメントが行われる。赤外正面画像がモニタ 75に表示さ れたら(図 2参照)、赤外正面画像が鮮明に表示されるように、眼底 Efに対する装置( 光学系)のフォーカシングが行われる。
[0033] 次に、 OCT光学系 200により眼底 Efの二次元断層画像を得るステップに移行され る。本実施態様においては、 Bスキャンにより X-Z面の二次元断層画像を得る場合に ついて説明する。
[0034] 先ず、モニタ 75に表示された赤外正面画像に基づき、二次元断層画像の X及び Y 方向の測定 (撮影)位置が設定される。演算制御部 70に接続されたスィッチ部 74の 設定スィッチ 74aの操作により、赤外正面画像上に電気的に表示された測定位置を 表すライン P1 (図 2参照)が移動され、測定位置が設定される。なお、ライン P1が水 平になるように設定されれば、 X-Z面の断層画像が得られ、ライン P1が鉛直になるよ うに設定されれば、 Y-Z面の断層画像が得られる。また、ライン P1は、直線形状だけ でなく、曲線形状等の任意の形状に設定可能とされて 、てもよ 、。
[0035] また、二次元断層画像の Z方向の測定位置が、測定光の Z方向への走査幅 (例え ば、 3mm)及び走査ステップ数により設定される。例えば、走査幅が 3mmで走査ス テツプ数が 10 mに設定されると、深さ 3mmで 10 テツプの二次元断層画像 が得られる。
[0036] スィッチ部 74のトリガスィッチ 74bが操作されると、演算制御部 70は、設定された測 定位置に基づき、 Bスキャンによる X-Z面の二次元断層画像の測定 (撮影)を開始す る。すなわち、演算制御部 70は、赤外正面画像上に設定されたライン P1の表示位 置に基づき、このライン P1の位置及び長さにおける二次元断層画像が得られるよう に、走査ユニット 23により測定光を走査させる。なお、ライン P1の表示位置(モニタ上 の位置)と走査ユニット 23による測定光の走査位置との関係は予め定まっているので 、演算制御部 70は、設定されたライン P1の表示位置及び長さに対応する走査位置 及び範囲に対して測定光が走査されるように、駆動機構部 51を制御する。また、演 算制御部 70は、二次元断層画像の測定開始時の赤外正面画像をメモリ 72に記憶さ せる。
[0037] 演算制御部 70は、駆動機構部 51を制御し、走査ユニット 23により測定光を X方向 に走査させ、また、駆動機構部 50を制御し、光路長変更ユニット 31により参照光の 光路長を設定された走査幅及び走査ステップ数に基づき変化させる。

[0039] 設定された測定位置の二次元断層画像がモニタ 75に表示されたら、 FC光学系 10 0により眼底 Efの可視正面画像を得るステップに移行される。モニタ 75に表示された 赤外正面画像を観察しながらのァライメント及びフォーカシングが行われ、スィッチ部 74のトリガスィッチ 74cが操作されると、演算制御部 70は、駆動機構部 45によりダイ クロイツクミラー 40を光路力も出脱させ (跳ね上げ)、また、光源 1を発光させる。
[0040] 光源 1からの可視光は、眼底 Efを照明し、眼底 Efで反射された可視光は、撮像素 子 16に眼底 Efの正面像を形成する。演算制御部 70は、得られた眼底 Efの可視正 面画像(図 2参照)をメモリ 72に記憶させる。
[0041] 演算制御部 70は、メモリ 72に記憶された赤外正面画像及び可視正面画像の血管 ,視神経乳頭,等の各特徴点を画像処理により抽出して一致させることにより、赤外 正面画像と可視正面画像とを位置的に対応させる(図 2参照)。 [0042] 赤外正面画像と可視正面画像との位置的な対応付けがなされたら、演算制御部 7 0は、赤外正面画像上のライン P1の表示位置に基づき、赤外正面画像における二次 元断層画像の測定位置を特定する。そして、演算制御部 70は、赤外正面画像と可 視正面画像との対応関係に基づき可視正面画像における二次元断層画像の測定 位置を特定し、モニタ 75に可視正面画像を表示させると共に、可視正面画像上に特 定された二次元断層画像の測定位置を示すライン P2を電気的に表示させる(図 2参 照)。これにより、 Bスキャンにより得られた二次元断層画像の測定位置が可視正面画 像上で確認でき、二次元断層画像と解像度及びコントラストに優れた可視正面画像 との対応関係が正確に把握できる。
[0043] なお、以上の方法を利用すれば、可視正面画像上で二次元断層画像の測定位置 を設定することも可能である。この場合、モニタ 75に表示された可視正面画像上で二 次元断層画像の測定位置が設定されると、演算制御部 70は、可視正面画像と赤外 正面画像とを位置的に対応させ、赤外正面画像における二次元断層画像の測定位 置を特定する。そして、演算制御部 70は、特定された測定位置に基づき、走査ュニ ット 23により測定光を走査させる。これにより、可視正面画像上で設定された測定位 置に基づく Bスキャンによる X-Z面の二次元断層画像が得られる。

[0045] 以下に、 FC光学系 100に眼底 Efの赤外正面画像を得るための光学系が設けられ た例について説明する。図 4は眼科撮影装置の光学系の変容例の概略構成図であ る。図 4の FC光学系 100には、眼底 Efの可視正面画像を得るための照明光学系 10 Oa及び撮影光学系 100bにカ卩えて、眼底 Efの赤外正面画像を得るための照明光学 系 110a及び撮影光学系 110bが配置されている。照明光学系 110aは、ハロゲンライ ト等の観察用光源 11と、波長 815〜865nm域をカットして波長 700〜815nm域と波長 8 65nmより長い波長域とを透過させる特性を持つフィルタ 12と、コンデンサーレンズ 13 と、照明光学系 100aと共用されるコンデンサーレンズ 2から対物レンズ 10までと、を 含む。撮影光学系 110bは、撮影光学系 100bと共用される対物レンズ 10から結像レ ンズ 14までと、赤外光と可視光の一部分とを反射して可視光の大部分を透過する特 性を持つダイクロイツクミラー 15と、ダイクロイツクミラー 15の反射方向に配置された赤 外域に感度を持つ観察用の二次元撮像素子 17と、を含む。また、ダイクロイツクミラ 一 40の撮像素子 16側には、ダイクロイツクミラー 40〖こよる光軸 L 1のずれを補正する ガラス板 41が、駆動機構部 45により跳ね上げ可能に配置されて 、る。

[0053] 演算制御部 70は、断層画像を得る際には、光路長変更ユニット 31を移動させない 。ファイバーカップラー 34でによる干渉光は、コリメーターレンズ 80で平行光とされ、 回折格子 81で波長毎に分離され、コンデンサーレンズ 82により一次元受光素子 83 に集光される。これにより、受光素子 83上でスペクトル干渉縞 (パワースペクトル)が 記録される。このパワースペクトルと相関関数との間にはフーリエ変換の関係が存在 する。したがって、受光素子 83で得られたスペクトル干渉縞をフーリエ変換することに より、測定光と参照光との相互相関関数が得られ、 Z方向の形状が得られる。

[0055] ここで、赤外正面画像上で測定位置が設定されることにより得られた二次元断層画 像の測定位置を可視正面画像上で確認するためには、例えば、演算制御部 70は、 予め得られた三次元断層画像から観察画像を得てモニタ 75に表示させる。これによ り、観察画像上で測定位置を設定することができる。そして、測定位置が設定された ら、演算制御部 70は、設定された測定位置の二次元断層画像を三次元断層画像か ら得てモニタ 75に表示させる。また、演算制御部 70は、前述の観察画像と可視正面 画像とを位置的に対応させ、観察画像上のラインの測定位置と対応関係とに基づき 、可視正面画像上に二次元断層画像の測定位置を示すラインを表示させる。
[0056] また、可視正面画像上で測定位置を設定するためには、例えば、演算制御部 70は 、可視正面画像と三次元断層画像とを位置的に対応させ、観察画像上における測定 位置を特定する。そして、演算制御部 70は、三次元断層画像から特定された測定位 置の二次元断層画像を得てモニタ 75に表示させる。
[0057] なお、可視正面画像との対応付けのために三次元断層画像から得られる観察画像 としては、例えば、二次元表層画像、所定の Z方向位置での X-Y面の二次元断層画 像,等がある。
[0058] また、所定の波長の可視光で眼底 Efの可視正面画像を撮影するような場合には、 所定波長により撮影される眼底組織に相当する部分における画像を三次元断層画 像力も得るようにしてもよい。例えば、青色の照明光で眼底 Efの可視正面画像を撮 影する場合には、主に眼底 Efの神経繊維層付近が撮影されるので、三次元断層画 像から眼底神経繊維層に相当する部分の画像を得て可視正面画像と対応付ければ よい。また、赤色の照明光で眼底 Efの可視正面画像を撮影する場合には、主に眼底 Efの深部組織が撮影されるので、三次元断層画像から眼底深部組織に相当する部 分の画像を得て可視正面画像との対応付ければよい。

Claims

請求の範囲
[1] 眼科撮影装置は、
低コヒーレント光を用いた光コヒーレンス'トモグラフィーにより眼底の断層画像を得 るための第 1光学系と、
眼底の可視正面画像を得るための第 2光学系と、
眼底の赤外正面画像を得るための第 3光学系と、
モニタと、
モニタに表示された赤外正面画像上に眼底の二次元断層画像を得るためのライン を設定する設定手段と、
ラインが設定された赤外正面画像と可視正面画像とを位置的に対応させ,モニタに 表示された可視正面画像上にラインを表示させる制御手段と、を有する。
[2] クレーム 1の眼科撮影装置において、制御手段は、赤外正面画像及び可視正面画 像の各特徴点を画像処理により抽出して一致させることにより赤外正面画像と可視正 面画像とを位置的に対応させる。
[3] クレーム 1の眼科撮影装置において、第 1光学系は、眼底に対して測定光を二次元 走査する走査手段と、走査手段による測定光の走査に同期させて参照光の光路長 を変化させる光路長変更手段と、を含む。
[4] クレーム 3の眼科撮影装置において、第 1光学系は、第 3光学系を兼ね、眼底の三 次元断層画像及び赤外正面画像を得る。
[5] クレーム 1の眼科撮影装置において、第 3光学系は、第 1光学系の測定光が入射さ れる撮像素子を含む。
[6] 眼科撮影装置は、
低コヒーレント光を用いた光コヒーレンス'トモグラフィーにより眼底の三次元断層画 像を得るための第 1光学系と、
眼底の可視正面画像を得るための第 2光学系と、
モニタと、
モニタに表示された可視正面画像上に眼底の二次元断層画像を得るためのライン を設定する設定手段と、 設定されたラインに基づく二次元断層画像を三次元断層画像力 得てモニタに表 示させる制御手段と、を有する。
[7] クレーム 6の眼科撮影装置において、制御手段は、可視正面画像及び三次元断層 画像の各特徴点を画像処理により抽出して一致させることにより可視正面画像と三次 元断層画像とを位置的に対応させる。
[8] クレーム 6の眼科撮影装置において、第 1光学系は、眼底に対して測定光を二次元 走査する走査手段と、走査手段による測定光の走査に同期させて参照光の光路長 を変化させる光路長変更手段と、を含む。
