Abstract

The invention relates to a method for operating a hybrid drive, in particular a hybrid drive for a motor vehicle, comprising a least one internal combustion engine having one first and at least one second operating mode with one first and at least one larger, second working range, and at least one electric motor. The internal combustion engine and the electric motor are operated in a parallel hybrid mode by means of a control/regulating device. According to the invention, when the torque requirement demand is within the first working range (21), the control/regulating device (18) operates the hybrid drive (1) in the first operating mode only using the internal combustion engine (2) and, in the event of higher torque requirements, the electric motor (4) is operated, in accordance with the torque requirement, until a maximum value thus producing an extended working range (30) and operates the hybrid drive (1) outside of the extended working range (30) using the internal combustion engine (2) in the second operating mode.
