Abstract

A power driver includes a tool chuck (50) for holding a tool and a power take off mechanism (10). The tool chuck has an input shaft (60) supporting a jaw carrier (55). The input shaft has a rear end extending through a central aperture (22) of an output coupling (20). A chuck actuating shaft (64) is mounted for rotation in a through bore (62) of the input shaft. The power take off mechanism is connected to a blind hole (66) of the tool chuck using a PTO actuator shaft (40) with a snap ring (41). The power take off mechanism includes a shift ring (12) for selectively engaging the output coupling, a central aperture (32) of a PTO drive disk (30), and a central aperture (76) of a disk (74) of a third stage carrier.
