Abstract

The application relates to methods and systems where the position of a mobile station is determined in a network location server. Two methods, indicative of the teaching of the application, are listed below: Method 1 : (i) Obtain raw measurements (132) (ii) Update estimate based on combination of raw measurements with previous raw measurement and/or estimate (iii) trasmit updated estimates to location server Method 2 : (i) Obtain raw measurements from multiple signals at different time instances (ii) Update estimates based on raw measurements (iii) Extrapolate estimates to a common instance of time (iiii) Transmit extrapolated estimates to location server. These methods reduced the data link requirements.
