Abstract
A system and method for providing automatic setup (40) of a remote patient care environment (10). Connectivity to a centralized server (13) over a network connection (11) is confirmed. Data (101) reporting for a patient (14) by one or more monitoring devices (15-18) that are wirelessly connectable is induced through control provided through a user interface (23). Each of the devices (15-18) is registered as the device (15-18) attempts to establish a wireless connection (44) and report the data (101) conditioned on permission for access. Upon granting of the permission for access, the device (15-18) is wirelessly connected and the data (101) is subsequently received over the wireless connection (44).
