Abstract

湿熱接着性繊維を含む繊維が交絡している不織繊維集合体の集合体内部において、前記湿熱接着性繊維により融着した繊維の接着点を略均一に分布させて、緩衝材用基材を得る。この緩衝材用基材は、さらに、熱収縮率の異なる複数の樹脂が相分離構造を形成した複合繊維を含み、この複合繊維が平均曲率半径20~200μmで略均一に捲縮して交絡していてもよい。この緩衝材用基材は、前記湿熱接着性繊維を含む繊維をウェブ化する工程と、生成した繊維ウェブを高温水蒸気で加熱加湿処理して融着する工程とを含む製造方法によって得ることができる。この緩衝材用基材は、高い通気性を有し、 クッション性及び柔軟性に優れている。
