Abstract
Refuse (2) is suitable for the direct production of synthesis gas only conditionally due to the heterogeneous composition thereof. The object of the invention is to nonetheless utilize the thermal energy of refuse (2) for the production of synthesis gas (9) without problematic substances of the refuse (2) reaching the synthesis gas (9). The object is achieved in that the energy of the hot flue gases (5) from a refuse incineration plant (1) is coupled into a synthesis gas reactor (6), the input flow (8) of which comprises, for example, biomass (8), for covering the endothermal reactions and for heating material flows. The invention is suitable for the production of synthesis gas (9) made of carbon-containing energy carriers (8), such as biomass (8), utilizing cost-effective thermal energy from a refuse incineration plant (1).
