Abstract

A system for controlling the power supplied to an AC voltage source for a heat source of a glass ceramics cooktop comprises: a heat source (20) for the cooktop (10), a device (80) for powering switchable devices, and an electromechanical thermostat (40) serially connected to lines between the output and feedback of an AC power supply (30); and a device that detects current flow in the series connection of the powering device (80), in the thermostat (40) and in the heat source (20), and provides a signal in the absence of current flow.
