Abstract

The throwaway plates that are currently available on the market prevent the holder from using one hand only, as both hands are required to hold the dish and also the glass. This invention solves this issue, as it is a plastic throwaway plate with a unique feature of an underneath support and opening which allows the holder to keep both the plate and glass with one hand only. This design is aimed to improve and develop the use of disposable plates and glasses during meetings and parties, more importantly it greatly reduces plastic waste.

Description

HOLE AND AN UNDERNEATH BORDER
TECHNICAL FIELD: This invention is geared towards the disposable plate industry.
BACKGROUND ART: The throwaway plates that are currently available on the market (like the ones that are usually used at birthday parties or during general events) , prevent the holder from using one hand only, as both hands are required to hold the dish and also the glass, hence, after drinking, the disposable glass is either set down or thrown in the garbage .
DISCLOSURE OF INVENTION AND ADVANTAGES OF THE INVENTION: This invention solves this issue, as it is a plastic throwaway plate with a unique feature of an underneath support and opening which allows the holder to keep both the plate and glass with one hand only.
See photo n.l
Underneath support, which is placed exactly under the opening for insertion of the glass, allows the plate to be held even if the glass is removed for drinking .
See photos n.2 and n.3 Thanks to this design, you can avoid throwing the glass in the garbage or setting it down randomly.
This reduces the risk of spilling the drink or mistakenly exchanging it with someone else's glass .
The creation of the opening with the support, allows both the plate and the glass to be held from below, this way the weight of both the dish and the glass is sustained by the hand itself. The plate can also be placed on the forearm for a better hold.
This design is aimed to improve and develop the use of disposable plates and glasses during meetings and parties, more importantly it greatly reduces plastic waste. In fact, by using this plate, you can keep hold of your own glass and avoid using new ones for the next drink.
When using current existing plastic throwaway plates, consider that at the end of a meeting with 50 people about 150-200 glass are used and wasted, therefore it is clear that this kind of plate not only is extremely convenient, it also considerably reduces the environmental impact . The plate with the glass-holding opening can be produced in different sizes, materials and dimensions, using the same manufacturing technology used for current disposable plates. Also the packaging, supply and method of disposal would be the same.
DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS:
In figure n.l you can see the actual holding element (edge) used as a support (handle) in order to hold the plate up.
In figure n.2 you can see how it is possible to hold both the plate and the glass with one hand only.
In figure n.3 you can see how it is possible to hold the plate with also the left hand, thanks to the underneath support, while you can easily drink using the right hand.
In figure n.4 you can see how the glass easily remains in the relevant slot even if the dish is set down.
