Launched today, OmniSky's complete wireless Internet service includes user interface software that makes it easy to access a vast amount of web content and provides a fast, streamlined way to send and receive email with a wirelessly enabled Palm V. Mobile Insights, a leading information source for the mobile computing and data communications markets, recently selected the OmniSky complete wireless service as the best Software/Service for Wireless Data for 1999.
Google's easy to use search technology enables OmniSky subscribers to search wirelessly for web pages on the Internet. Google automatically breaks up the search results into several smaller pages, which are connected by "more" buttons, to offer the user increased performance and to conserve bandwidth. OmniSky and the Google search engine are planned for availability on additional wireless platforms, including other Palm organizers, Windows CE devices, pagers and WAP-enabled mobile phones.
