Google Becomes Premier Search Engine for Latin America
Universo Online (UOL) Partners with the World's Largest Search Engine
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. - October 1, 2001 - In an effort to expand its global services, Google Inc. today announced a partnership with Universo Online (UOL) to provide millions of UOL users throughout Brazil and Latin America immediate access to the award-winning Google search engine. UOL, the largest online service and Internet Service Provider in Latin America, reaches almost 80 percent of the Brazilian online audience, according to Jupiter Media Metrix.
