  1. A cheap wireless mic that gets the job done.

      By MrAllen - Feb 17, 2011 - Viewpoints
    Pros: Wireless
    Cons: Eats batteries
The first thing I will say, is that this microphone is not as good as a wired one. However, it's not much worse. The fact that it's wireless far makes up for any lack of sensitivity. You're free to jump around without worrying about getting tangled up with your bandmates, or furniture. I have only used this microphone to play Rock Band 2 and 3, and it works very well. I can't guarantee its performance in other music games such as Lips, Guitar Hero, or anything else. I imagine it would perform the same, though. If there was one thing to be particularly wary of when considering this microphone, is that it goes through batteries very quickly. I would recommend buying a set of rechargable batteries for it, otherwise you'll end up spending a fortune just to use it.
At the time of writing this review, you can purchase the Lips Xbox 360 game that comes packaged with TWO of these microphones, for just $23 on Amazon. It's an incredible deal. So if you're tired of wires everywhere, this is a great (and cheap) solution.

  2. Here's a qui...

      By Timbo - Sep 7, 2009 - Newegg.com
Pros: The sound quality, battery life, wireless range, and LED decorations are all fantastic. I've used a pair at family/friend get-togethers in various settings and never had any issues. The quality is there, and this includes durability, as I've had these things knocked around aggressively and still never seen anything beyond aesthetic wear on them.
Cons: The power and sync functions are combined into one button, which until you get the hang of it, is super confusing. Compatibility with all major titles is not quite there, though updates are pending for pretty much everything (I'd check to be sure the game you're planning on using it with is supported). Also, the price is pretty beefy on these single mics, considering even at release, Lips came with 2 of these things for $69.99. That being said, I've yet to see a better alternative on any system.
Here's a quick guide for how the power/sync button works.
Hold it for ~1 full second and release to turn it on/off. Hold it down longer than that to use to sync function. Any time it's only flashing green on the LEDs, that means it's trying to communicate with the system, but once it's synchronized with your system, it'll go all different colors. Once it's paired with your system, you won't need to do it again, same as any wireless controller.
Unfortunately, you won't be able to use these mics with the wireless receiver for Windows. It identifies and pairs with computers just fine, but no audio feeds through. I haven't heard

  3. Great Wireless Mics

      By DMOFO1906 - Mar 9, 2011 - Best Buy
I purchase two to go with my games that require a microphone. They are sleek and durable and produce great sound quality. I have not experienced any distortion. Great buy.
