i purchased this with mixed emotion. i have always used the zune products but was reluctant at first. my brother had the itouch and i have friends that have i phones. but i didnt think i would use all the apps and the net. i needed the music and movies. movies look great on the oled screen and with my skullcandy headphones the music sounds great.

I had an ipod that I used primarily for my daily runs. I loaded all my music onto my PC laptop and found that itunes really slowed my computer down.  On several occasions itunes would just take a dump and I would lose all my music and have to start from scratch. After the fifth time experiencing this I knew I needed a change. I couldn't afford to go out and buy a pricey apple computer, so I opted for the microsoft zune mp3 player. I am SO glad that I did. I've never had a probelm with it at all. Unlike itunes, it doesn't have to convert your music files to a special format so downloading music is at least twice as fast as itunes. It's got a lot of sweet features like the ipod, without the hassle of pc vs. mac. If you're a PC person, you NEED to buy a zune. It is the best buy you'll make.  I did end up switching out the ear buds for a snazzier pair, but the buds it comes with are just fine.
