I am a recent grad looking for a job in aviation marketing, a social media junkie and all around fun loving person ; Student at Daniel Webster College
Nashua, NH/ Westborough, MA
- About me
So it all began about 7 years ago...my career that is, I'm not 7 years old. I attended an aviation camp (ACE Camp to be specific) for high school students and was hooked ever since. Walking into a large white hangar with a G4 (that's a type of airplane for those who havent caught the aviation bug) was, in a way, my down fall. Before then I was convinced that I was going to be a vet (which is funny since I get grossed out pretty easily). Who knew that there were places where you could go study these beautiful beasts?! All the time!! Needless to say I immediately began looking at colleges with aviation programs and ended up at Daniel Webster College.
Fast forward 7 years and you now find me as a recent grad from DWC with a Bachelors of Science in Aviation Management (hold your applause please). The exciting part is that I'll be finishing up a second BA in Marketing Management in a couple of weeks (ok, now you can applaud if desired since I somehow managed to pull it off in one year, which still baffles me). Like most of my peers my time not spent in class was used to try almost every club and activity on campus (which was great until I decides to add the second degree...best decision of my life thus far). I have worked my way up from a high schooler attending the aviation camp to become assistant director of that camp as well as two others in Massachusetts. I recently spent some time interning with the Federal Aviation Administration Aviation and Space Education Department (add intern to the end of that and there was my title...then try saying it five time fast). It was by far one of the best experiences I've ever had! I have also done some project based learning working as a marketing consultant for various companies (feel free to ask me more about it).
So what am I doing now? Trying to find a job. My dream job would be (as if you hadn't figured it out already) to work as an aviation marketer. My specialty lies in event coordination/planning, which means that I am good at planning expos and seminars and absolutely love doing it! For the time being I continue to do my consulting work (I am currently interning as a marketing consultant at Balance Point Natural Medicine), working at the camp that got me started, and looking tirelessly for a job.
I have recently become a social media junkie. I also love travelling and learning new languages and cultures. Cooking and baking are one of my favorite pass times.I also like long walks on the beach (no, really I do), reading, and just getting to know people.
