- About me
So many people dream of owning a bed & breakfast someday. Trading in their corporate 9 to 5 for a casual lifestyle filled with leisure and hospitality. A schedule focused around good food and good people. Cuisine & conversation. It's an opportunity to pursue one's favorite hobbies ... from gardening to crafts, collecting art or making art, cooking, and of course entertaining and making new friends.
I traded in my power pumps for flip flops in 2005 when I left my corporate job to move to Mount Dora. Owning vacation lodging cottages, I have the best of both worlds.
The relaxed lifestyle of innkeeping without the early morning rush of cooking breakfast. While I have the luxury of sleeping in as long as the laundry is done, breakfast is still my favorite
meal. And I have the highest respect for the lifelong friends we've made and fellow business owners in this industry that wake up morning after morning to spend time in the kitchen to wow their guests.
Having access to these Innkeepers, some of whom are very talented chefs, I've had the opportunity to learn a hundred different ways to make my favorite meal of the day ... Breakfast.
The most popular category of Innside Story earned it's own blog. Since I think breakfast is it's own food group, I'm stepping outside of Mount Dora in search of the best the morning has to offer by the world's connoisseurs of breakfast ... Innkeepers. Step "inn" the kitchen with me to discover some of my favorite Inns and satisfy your sweet and savory side.
