My name is Alicia and I am currently a student at the University of Washington (I'm graduating in June, so if you're looking to hire a really cool person with a smattering of writing, editing, web design, and SEO skills, you've come to the right place!).

I'm working toward a double degree in Linguistics and Technical Communication. Don't know what those degrees entail? Neither do my parents, who, unlike you, have been exposed to years of one-sentence descriptions, pamphlets, and the whole gamut of explanatory strategies to try to convey what I've been doing at college these past five years.

I started blogging in 2003. Back then, LiveJournal was all the rage, and blogging was just one exploration of the many ways I was capable of being an annoying teenager. I had a brief affair with Blogger before settling down here at Wordpress, where I now exercise my right to be an annoying college student.

When I'm not studying or working, you can find me on my living room couch doing something useless online, watching classic episodes of The Simpsons, or napping under the Snuggie."
