  • About me

Akanksha Goel is a marketing insider and founder of Socialize, a social media agency and training house headquartered in Dubai.

Before moving to Dubai, she served as Editor-in-Chief of STUFF Magazine Singapore, a leading consumer technology publication. Under her leadership STUFF magazine pioneered in introducing a locally produced Lifestyle section. She has consulted on special projects with the TATA Group , where she conducted a  nation-wide gender-diversity project and created an action-plan to discover and break the proverbial 'glass ceiling' for the women working in India.

Akanksha frequently conducts trainings and seminars about social media and marketing in Dubai with Knowledge Village, Murdoch University and other Event producers. She helped organize South East Asia's first podcamp and was co-creator of the Digital Media Across Asia wiki. In her free time, she organises Tweet-ups and other networking events for entrepreneurs and conversation-starters in Dubai.

Akanksha’s thoughts about social media and marketing have been featured in Knowledge@SMU , The Gulf Marketing Review, as well as the Six Pixels of Separation Podcast and Web News-sites like AsiaOne, Zawya and Finding Dulcinea.  She has also been recently interviewed by IQPC, to comment on Social Media Marketing in the Gulf.

Akanksha is currently serving as the Chief Operating Officer for the Sherazade group, which represents OneEmpower’s Loyalty Marketing Solutions in the Middle East, Africa and India.
