- About me
I attempted a philosophical development of a modern, syncretic offshoot of Classical (Greek and Roman) Paganism, combining aspects of each tradition, relying more heavily on Rome for the details of the festivals and on Greece for the mythology. Elements of Christianity and Judaism appeared as well; in my view, attempting to create a purely Pagan tradition in the millenial era was, at best, akin to trying to "unscramble an omelette".
Eventually, I abandoned the effort, finding that any attempt to create a viable ethical polytheism seemed doomed to failure in this era, judging from the past performance of the groups I had observed. I moved on to other interests, most of them not religious in nature, and almost never post or write under the name "Antistoicus", any more, having as little to do with organized Paganism as I can.
My faith in the gods hasn't wavered. It's my faith in man that has seen better days.
