Barbara J Henry

Hello, I am Barbara J. Henry, a former high school educator who taught Junior and Senior English for many years until I retired early in 2007, to pursue my passion for writing.

I  am an avid reader of books on personal development and self-growth,which are the subjects of my blog posts and poems.I also enjoy reading historical fiction and biographies of people who have made valuable contributions to the world.

I live in River Forest,Illinois, next door to Oak Park,Illinois, home to Ernest Hemingway,Frank Lloyd Wright, DR.Percy Julian and many other noted personalities.

My first book,Journaling:Twenty Plus Reasons Why You Should Start Now,resulted from my daily journaling since 1995.

As a result of journaling daily for thirteen plus years, I describe myself as ' The Journaling Lady'.
