"Paco Nathan" is nom de plume for acclaimed designer Khmer Yu. After a tumultuous childhood as a boat refugee, Yu won the 1991 Gautier Prix for his "Ballet of Moray Eels" at Monterey Bay Aquarium. Critics hailed a prodigious sophomore effort, while Artist in Residence at JPL in Pasadena, calling it a quintessential embodiment of trans-humanist post-expressionism. Mr. Yu lives on his personally designed, 3-story solar houseboat on Bainbridge Island near Seattle, with a pet seal named Harvey.
