- About me
Andy Ciordia is a driven individual. Some say madly driven as he rarely slows down. An off-day for Andy is skydiving from 13,500ft above Earth to act as he calls it, 'A Human Lawn Dart'. Jokingly of course.
A man of many roles, Andy has played designer to early web designs with the now expired Going Virtual, a lead systems engineer and eventually taking over the Director of IS at the Planned Giving Design Center.
Leaving the PGDC in 2007 to start Nuance Labs he attempted to create with business partner Jeff Hoffman an advanced take on a GTD (Getting Things Done) application. Learning many hard lessons of a startup the project has been suspended until an effort in recapitalization can occur.
Currently Andy can be found working as a freelance consultant (Nuance Labs Consulting) helping small businesses find their identities with improved branding, photography, and the implementation of CMS frameworks to allow for growth online.
He also works with his family closely doing business development for The Secret Chocolatier. An artisanal chocolate producer in Charlotte, NC working from the grass roots up. It's been a challenging environment bringing new products to market on shoe string budgets. With a great product though it's been a fun and tasty work load.
Andy also gives a lot back to the community and has been the director of technology with his local Slow Food chapter for the past 4 years and helps run a burgeoning photography group, Charlotte Photography Meetup Group.
With an interesting balance of technology, design, and communication, Andy is sure to continue staying busy in many endeavors for a good time to come.
