Earl Barnett

Aside from my name being Earl, I’m a machinist by trade and a compulsive student by choice. I’m the son of a truck driver and a nurse. I eat too much. I don’t work out nearly enough. I have an irrational fear of foreign travel and zombies. I have a sleeve tattoo, love hardcore, live a straight-edge life but refuse to call myself such. I’m an easygoing, obsessive-compulsive, passionate, manic man who lives his life as a God-fearer always striving to be something better than i currently am.

I aspire to teach history and theology for a living. I dont' really care if it is in a formal academic setting. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Theology. I am presently working on an MTS degree at Candler School of Theology, Emory University in the History and Interpretation of Christianity.

I have a deep interest in Evangelicalism and its interactions with American culture.  I also often find myself enamored with the history of 20th century theology.

I also have an obsession with music and comic books.
