Like▼Anyone else tried Greplin? I added a couple of things to index, which it did, and now it says "Thanks for registering for Greplin. We're in beta. We'll email you once the system's ready for you. In the meantime, you can add another index by clicking on an icon below:"

Wish I'd had this a week ago when I returned to 850 emails after my holiday! Still, better late than never and looking forward to seeing what it can do.

Get ready for the update!
Following my unofficial update yesterday, I can report that it's very snappy indeed, although there are some odd glitches. The GPS doesn't seem to want to lock on to a specific position all the time and the fading in/out of system dialogs seems unduly slow. In addition, they still haven't sorted out the mapping of the volume buttons when switching between landscape and portrait mode.
Overall, though, it's looking good and bodes well for a promising official update.

The MoDaCo forum has a link to the Android 2.1 Update 1 for the Dell Streak. Installed and working beautifully here :)
I'm now able to get SlingPlayer back (I was unable to access it and various other apps with the first 2.1) and it generally feels much snappier and more stable.

Oh, happy Android days! Who said Friday the 13th was only for bad stuff?
A leaked version of Android 2.1 was released into the wild today. I found out about it over on the MoDaCo forums . I've downloaded it, installed it, and my Streak is now whizzing around in all its 2.1 goodness :)
It's made a serious improvement to the device. It's SO much quicker now...Expand this post »

I'm delighted to see that Evernote have updated their Android app. I'm a real of Evernote on all platforms (I currently use it on the Web, Mac, Windows and Android). I'd go so far as to say it's the most useful suite of apps I've ever used.
It's great to see they're still committed to the Android platform - in fact we've now got some features that no other version of the app has :)
