I am from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and my blog is at http://paulmccord.net.  I am a firm believer of the Bible as the 'word of God' and I use the Bible as a gauge of my world view.  When faced with issues in the world, I use the Bible as my measuring stick of whether it is right or wrong.  I came to know Jesus in 1986 when I was 20 years old.  I married Sunday, in 1989 and she has been a blessing to me beyond measure.  I have two sons that I am very proud of and also feel they are a blessing to me.

I have been interested in technology my whole life starting out with my fascination with receiving distant radio and television stations.  I use to sit in front of the television turning the antenna rotor trying to see what stations I could find. My dad is a Broadcast Engineer so I have been around technology my whole life.  I have been an amateur 'ham' radio operator since 1983 when I was 17 years old.   Again, that was inspired by my dad as well.  The year before that, I got my first computer so naturally I love both of them. That computer was the powerful Commodore VIC 20 with a massive 3 kilobytes (KB) of RAM.  I am an Internet junkie that loves to sign up for nearly every new gadget that comes along.

I have been fascinated with severe weather since I was younger than ten years old.  I vividly remember waking up in the middle of the night to a tornado siren at a very young age.  From that day forward I have had a love for severe thunderstorms.  This is a useful hobby in Oklahoma during the spring months.  Being an amateur radio operator goes hand in hand with severe weather so many of my hobbies seem to go together somehow.
