Phil spent his early years growing up in the small community of Wattles Park, a suburb of Battle Creek in southern Michigan. He attended Howe Military School for two years until the family moved to California. After high school and college, he attended the US Army Counterintelligence School in Baltimore, Maryland.
After leaving the military, Phil owned and operated a lumber and hardware company in Southern California. Later, he became VP of a chain of LA home centers. He has been a purchasing agent, and mill work manager.
After moving to Nevada, Phil was a buyer/estimator for the building trades. He also did some editing and wrote articles for a entertainment oriented newspaper.
He took up writing full time and is now working on his third action/adventure novel and has several other novels in outline form.
