Saw Alice in Wonderland 3D IMAX tonight with @slickdevil and really enjoyed myself. Very interesting take on the story, as always.

Teaching Jenna how to make chainmail now. She will probably be better at it than I am.

Do you feel the need to have an entire album, or discography, when you only like a handful of songs by an artist?

I have folders of music that fit this exact criteria. Part of me wants to purge it yet I want to keep a complete collection as well.

shane knapp ☠ - purge!Mar 4
Peter Manis - I keep pretty much everything, collections are a goal of mine usually. Which is the reason I have a giant file server.Mar 4
t grey - Storage is cheap, and constantly getting cheaper. Digital pack rat is the way to go. The music I like changes too much based off my mood and what context I'm in.Mar 4
William Wallace - I started to find over the past year that too much of the digital mound of albums I had accumulated contained far too much garbage in terms of music. Started asking why do I hold on to something I don't enjoy.

I will still go for entire albums but now I actually bother to listen to them and filter through what is worth keeping and what isn't. This was easiest achieved by starting my collection over with since the previous mound of digital crap was just far too massive and unorganized for me to bother with.

So I agree with shane... PURGE!

Peter Manis - More often than not I have albums that have songs I originally don't care for, but when one day I get busy doing something and it happens to play in the background and I find a few new songs I really really enjoy. Purging can result in losing out on some good stuffMar 4
Chris Schrier - @Peter Manis I'm just tired of constantly progressing to the next track while driving. I need to collect statistics on how many tracks I skip vs. listen to.Mar 4
Peter Manis - Yeah I usually do mixes instead of full CDs, sometimes CDs work out for the better but mixes are usually the best. I've been using playlists on my Touch more than anything simply because I'll listen to the same set of songs over and overMar 4

Gareth Botha - Wow, where do you work? I've always wondered how people get away with things like this! That's pretty hilarious. I don't know what I'd do if that was my desk - cry probably...Mar 2
Chris Schrier - @Gareth I work at Google; these types of ownings are somewhat common and considered team building. :)Mar 2
