I'm a veteran print journalist embracing life in a Web 2.0 world. I
reported for many years at The Charlotte Observer, and my work has
appeared in The New York Times, Scientific American, The Huffington
Post, Grist and more. As the news editor for OnEarth.org, the website
of NRDC's award-winning environmental magazine, I'm helping build a new
model for nonprofit journalism. I'm also an adjunct professor at the
Columbia j-school.
