I am member of the Telecommunication Networks Group at the Technische Universität Berlin.
My research focuses on architectural aspects of Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN), in particular on the design of local and network-wide system abstractions for WSNs that reconcile the conflicting requirements between application-specific performance optimization with portability, re-usability and productivity.
Selected works:

Selected works:
- TinyCOPS, a Publish/Subscribe framework for WSNs supporting custom selection of the communication protocols for subscription dissemination and notification collection
- ICEM, a device driver architecture integrating concurrency control and energy management
- Hardware Abstraction Architecture for TinyOS 2.x, the most popular operating system for WSN
- TWIST, one of the largest European WSN testbeds
