Wade Roush is Chief Correspondent for Xconomy. He is a veteran science and
technology writer whose recent work has focused on startups and innovation, consumer Internet
technology, social computing, geocomputing, virtual worlds, and the visual Web. He lives in Boston with his Australian Shepherd dog, Rhody, and blogs informally at Travels with Rhody.
Roush graduated Magna cum Laude in the history of science from Harvard College in 1989 and earned a PhD in the history and social study of science and technology from MIT in 1994. His work has appeared in Science, Technology Review, IEEE Spectrum, Encyclopaedia Brittanica, Technology and Culture, Alaska Airlines Magazine, and World Business, and he has been a guest of CNN, CNBC, NECN, WGBH and NPR.
