John Pavlus

Science/Tech Writer & Filmmaker
Prospect Heights, Brooklyn

  • About me
I'm curious for a living, which mostly means I learn, write, and make moving pictures about subjects scientific and techy. I've also written about cinematography, surfing, and other diversions.

Some science stuff I've created on the web:
FrinkTank -- a (deceased) group blog for science hooligans that had the distinction of getting ejected from ScienceBlogs.com.
Instant Egghead -- hard science concepts, boiled down in a minute or two. They made a book series of out it.
Grand Unified Weekly -- a science news roundup for the rest of us.
The Science of Youtube -- viral videos + science lessons.

Here's my favorite piece of magazine writing: a profile of Werner Herzog for Wired Magazine.
