Glitch

Final project for class. It was actually my back-up project, which I had to write and shoot in under three weeks because my first project fell through.

Just a stupid video. Also a school assignment, small wonder. I'll get around to dramatic sketches eventually, I guess.

'Watch' - Letterboxed

This is an abstract piece I put together from some footage I had lying around.

Viddler's flash encoding couldn't keep up with some of my frame by frame edits, unfortunately, so they end up looking a lot less smooth and awesome. If you want to see how it's actually supposed to look like, download the original file.

Surprise!

Surprise!

This was a group assignment where the class was split into three groups of five. Each group was given the same script and told to use only ten shots. We had one week, which basically amounted to a one-day shoot and a two-day edit due to our schedules.

We cheated a bit and used eleven shots, but it was worth it. The script needed a bit of spicing up. Also we changed the ending, because we figured characters as lame as these didn't deserve a happy ending.

p.s. You wouldn't think it, but this project was hell to edit. Everything that possibly could go wrong did, which is why we decided to name our production group Flabbergasted Productions.

"Cleansed" - Letterboxed

This is a short surreal film about a laundry machine possessed. I made it for a film history class and used several historical techniques that we studied, primarily classical continuity and jump-cut editing, with some references to films we watched thrown in.

I'm really surprised by how well this turned out. It was only meant to be an editing exercise, but it ended up as a pretty solid film, I think.
