A l'occasion de la fête du tourisme, Paris fête ses visiteurs et lance l'opération "Paris vous Sourit" avec un sourire à taille humaine à l'Arc de Triomphe. Le 7 juillet 2008, ce sourire a réuni, le temps d'une vidéo vue du ciel, 250 personnes : des professionnels du Tourisme, des équipes de la Mairie de Paris et de l'Office du Tourisme et des Congrès de Paris et des parisiens.
