Jon Wiley

User Experience Designer at Google
Los Gatos, CA

I'm a proud native of Austin, Texas. I have a degree in acting with a minor in astronomy and I've been designing for the Web since 1995, when I created a website for my improv troupe, Monks' Night Out.

I performed improv and sketch comedy for six years on Austin's famous 6th Street and I was an owner of a comedy club called the Bad Dog. I co-created the world's largest (at the time) improv and sketch comedy festival, the Big Stinkin'. I also performed in the critically-acclaimed original production Hooray for Gregory Peck's Ass.

Eventually, I left acting to work on web design and development full time. I've done pretty much every job required to design, build, and maintain a successful website.

I enjoy cross-country backpacking and scuba diving. I am a founding member of The Mars Society and I helped find the Mars Desert Research Station a home. I have been over 1,000 feet beneath the sea and I've been seen over two million times in a viral video.

I'm married to Diana.
