i use this unit for geocaching and it is just great. i have had no trouble getting satellite coverage under trees, bad weather, etc. i installed mapsend topo on my laptop and with the interface am able to load large area maps of any location i need.

Pros: Compact, good battery life.

Cons: Weak reception, especially in woods. Inconsistent readings. Slow to get even a rough location readin, and inaccurate relative to a similarly priced Garmin.

Used in Albany, NY area and Vermont. Very slow to settle down on a location, and even then quite inaccurate. In VT it was dramatically worse than Garmin and hadless useful screens.

Pros: Outstanding GPS. Light weight easy to learn, and quick sattellite lock. No problems since I have had it for better than the Cobra I purchased.

Cons: None Works better that I thought it would.

Very quick GPS lock. It was fast than what I was used to. Great display easy to work with commands and controls. Absolutely user friendly. I have tried two other brands of GPS system and this one outperformed in everyway. I really like this GPS because I didn't have to download any additional software to get it going, or have to pay extra to get more detailed maps. I this GPS has everything that I need and it is very accurate with 10 meters. I am in the army and GPS systems have become very important to our operations. We have stuff that is issued by the Army that costs thousands and thousands of dollars and does not work as well. This unit works far better and cost me less than $100.00. This is a great product, and I enjoy using it. « less
