  • Good Tank
By DAVID - October 31, 2016 - Summit Racing Equipment
I read a few reviews on this air tank that mentioned that the threads were not the best. The threads in my tank were perfect. The only area that I would like different was the 1 threaded hole on each end. It would have been nice if it had 1 more. I got around that with two T's on the top which left the bottom open for the drain. It was made out of fairly heavy metal. Quite sturdy! Read full review
  • Exactly what I needed.
By DAVID - August 17, 2016 - Summit Racing Equipment
I used this viair air tank ordered from summit racing equipment for a custom train horn setup on my motorcycle and it is exactly what I needed. The viair air tank was exactly as described. The welds on the tank are good and strong, the mounting bracket is solid and the tank itself is built to last I expect it to outlast my Harley. It was easy to install and to thread fittings into. I recommend it to anyone who wants it for its originally intended purpose or a custom project like myself. Thank you summit. Read full review
  • Nice 2.5 gal tank with a lot of ports available
By DAVID - July 22, 2016 - Summit Racing Equipment
Good finish, the six 1/4" NPT ports were finished well, mounting legs are easy to use. This tank came with rubber bushings and small bolts for mounting. I used this tank to replace a rusty, 17 year old, 150psi Sun brand tank of the same size. The mounting holes were slightly different, but the Viair tank had large enough legs to let me to drill new holes. Used 1/4" stainless steel bolts to attach the tank to the bottom of a 1994 Dodge truck cab. NOTE: These tanks say they should be replaced every two to five years (for safety), but they will go longer if you maintain them (and use a safety pop-off please!). Read full review
