  • Incredible professional 27inch monitor
    By mafr0 - June 18, 2014 -
After owning one of these monitors for graphic design and animation work for 2 years, I recently purchased a second with Premiere Color for a second system, and I can't recommend them enough for my purposes. They're definitely the best 27inch 2560x1440 res monitor I've worked with, and they are a workhorse. Had zero problems with these monitors wit the amount of use they've been given. Has a huge amount of inputs (no USB3 and thunderbolt for Macs of course), fully adjustable height and 180 viewing angles, does not get very hot, brilliant colors (can barely tell between + and - Premiere color models), refresh rate and no light bleed. No dead pixels have appeared. Some gamer-inclined owners complain about the anti-glare coating on the screen (much like anit-glare coated Macbook Pros), saying they getting a rainbow dusting kind of appearance on bright whites, which I think is highly exaggerated. I can get a slight sense for what people are talk about if I focus for it, but I think this is somewhat of an expected compromise for a necessary feature! Anti-glare is 100% necessary for unobstructed production work with no distractions from environmental or lighting reflections, but if no one had ever mentioned this problem to me, I would have never scrutinized the phenomena, and my vision is perfect! So I don't consider this a compromise in any way. These monitors are brilliant, hands down. It's a pity they're a 2011, since superseded by an inferior 2013 U2713 model with less colour depth and a narrower colour gamut, so the U2711 can be hard to find. But in my opinion, they can't be beaten as a pro monitor for performance and price. Read full review

Bought 2 of these for home radiology workstations. Great resolution, pre-calibrated, images are crisp and clear. Good price, too! Use with Nvidia Quadro 600 for dual monitor setup. Read full review
  • Better than promised ... THANK YOU!

better than any review I can furnish - simply google this monitor and do a comparison with Apple's best cinema monitor and see what the experts say. I am using this with a MacBook Pro, to edit images via Adobe CS5 and I am only happy. Do your own due diligence, but the quality is there. Read full review
