  1. I recently ordered the Dakine Prom Backpack from ebags.com and I have no complaints about the bag itself, the shipping, or the website. The website was very easy to navigate. You can browse several different ways including searching, by brand, by category, by gender, or by type of bag. It's very easy to customize your search as well. Once you enter a search or click on a category you can use the filters on the left hand side of the page to see exactly what you want. There are a wide range of filters including category, gender, school age, features, size, customer rating, price, materials, capacity, etc. Once you find something you want to view in detail and click on it, you are in for a wealth of information. Many of the products descriptions offer many different views of the exterior and interior of the product and sometimes even a video.   3. I like using Jansport backpacks, and I had been looking for a new one recently. I was able to find it on ebags.com, and I was able to find it for a good deal. Overall, I had a good experience, and I would be happy to use this site again.

I was quite hesitant to order from ebags.com, given the poor ratings I've seen here, but the price for the luggage piece I wanted was just so low in comparison to Amazon, and even more so against our local retailer. Added to that was the fact that it seems wherever you buy luggage, it is sourced through ebags anyway. In any case, I opted for ebags via Google Wallet, and I had no problems. The bag arrived within a few days, still in the manufacturer's boxing, with no damage or evidence of any issues. I was probably just lucky that there weren't any issues for me to really test their customer service, but I really don't have any significant complaints.The only small negative was that they didn't provide any indication that it had shipped, and it just magically appeared at my door. Can't really complain too loudly about that, however.

  2. Beware the shady return policy -- No where does it state on their site that returns are not possible after 60 days. They only indicate store credit after 30 days + a fee. Very vaguely worded. Appeals to the company yielded nothing but frustration.

  3. Their 60 day defects policy says: Items are protected by eBags against defects for 60 days from the receipt of shipment. After that time, please refer to the manufacturer's warranty policy.The truth is you have one week to report a defect and get it replaced for free. After that, you have to pay return shipping/restocking fee ($7) and then re-buy the bag at whatever the current price is (if you buy it on sale, you likely get stuck with a higher regular price a week later. If they are sold out of what you bought, you lose).You lose money if eBags sends you sub-par goods. You do nothing wrong and you pay the price. I am not ordering from here again.

  1. I was given a Dockers (The Sharper Image) 28" suitcase as a gift for my birthday which was purchased on ebags.com. When I used it the first time, the seam pulled away from the ribbing. This happened during a trip in my car where I had the suitcase in the back seat. I called ebags and they indicated they could not help me because it had been longer than 6 months and because this was a defect, I needed to deal with Olivet International , Inc. I tried to emphasize that a 28" piece of luggage is not something you use every day, but to no avail. I contacted Olivet and after sending them photos of the tear, they agreed it was a defect and I could ship it back to them. I took it to be mailed to find out it was going to cost me $85 to ship this back to them. I emailed and asked if they could send me a label, as I could purchase a new suit case for that amount of money, and they indicated they could not, according to the warranty card.   2. They say $20 off on all purchase over $50 but they would have increased the price on all product by $20. Example, the price of "SwissGear Travel Gear ScanSmart Backpack 1900" is normally $49.99 in their site but now as on 06/02/2014 - they have put $20 off and made the price as $69.99. ALL FAKE OFFERS. worst shopping site.

  3. Ordered a full set of luggage, and over the next few days received notifications that several pieces were oversold and unavailable (not on backorder...unavailable for purchase). I cancelled the entire order. They made the cancellation easy, so I appreciate that, but the fact is there is no inventory management so this type of thing can happen again and again.
