  2. We returned after purchasing 2 years ago a chandelier from you -- which was broken. You were FABULOUS... Within a month we received a replacement chandelier (WHICH we love!), and you didn't ask us to pack up that old one and return it... THAT would've been a nightmare. and THIS is why we returned to you.... Great customer service, Guys!

  3. Prices were very competitive than other online retailers. It took a lot of patience because I had to refer back to the Sea Gull website to get part numbers to complete the system. Sometimes I had to do the searches with different keywords to get the right parts. Sea Gull has a description of all the components needed for a track system that makes it much easier to understand. Elizabeth of your online chat checked my cart and confirmed that I had everything right, thanks to Elizabeth.

  3. Had a couple broken bulbs that came with our light string...Kay quickly responded via e-mail then kept returning my call till we were able to speak and is replacing the broken bulbs. Excellent customer service and I will most definitely be a repeat customer!!!

  3. I recently purchased a chandelier from Lighting Direct. When it arrived I installed it and when I tested it ,it did not work. I took it all down again and took it apart to find that nine runs of lamp cord were all tied together with a single wire nut. The wire was in a section that twisted as you installed it and all the loosely bound wires in this mess made in China had pulled out. I disposed of the $.01 wire nuts and connect the wires properly and safely (the loose wires had shorted during my initial test) and re-installed the whole light again. I was asked to write a review for lighting direct and I obliged by printing the experiences I just relayed and providing a bad rating for this product. After a few "we're sorry" and nothing more, I discovered they had not posted my review. When I asked they claimed an independent party chose what to post and they had no control. It was plainly apparent they did not want bad reviews posted, so they could continue to sell this defective ...

  1. I recently purchased several lights from LightingDirect.com. Within 10 days, all of the lights had arrived, with only one glass shade getting damaged in transit. All of the other lights arrived in good condition and as advertised. Upon calling about the shattered glass piece, I was extremely pleased with how easy and professional the customer service was. They indicated they would ship me a new glass shade right away and I did not need to send anything back since nothing else was damaged.A few days later, I decided to return a couple of the lights for interior design reasons and they were just as helpful and quick. In less than 24 hours, they have sent me all the return labels and instructions to send the lights back. I always naturally get a little nervous buying from a new company online, but I have been very impressed with the level of service, pricing, and prompt shipment of my order. This was a great first-time buying experience!

  2. I have bought from this company (and their other incarnations, build.com, etc) several times. It is a hit and miss in terms of promptness of shipping -- even if the site says the product is in stock, shipping can be delayed and then delayed again. Returns and order cancellations are usually painless though.What I noticed is when I submitted a negative product review to their site, it hasn't been posted (I submitted it weeks ago, it was written very politely, so no reason to reject the review). So beware that their product reviews are probably filtered and biased.
