I NEED My Right-Side Labels Back, PLEASE! Report abuse

Please, please, please, please (I can't say it enough!) bring the
right-side labels feature back. I understand you think you are
changing things for the better and giving us new options that we will
in time get used to, but you are wrong. I have read the post on the
Official Gmail Blog about the changes that are coming to labels and I
am NOT on board.

I use so many labels and this has helped tremendously in keeping my
email organized and manageable. Not being able to see them easily on
the right side of my screen is immensely frustrating! You have just
made more work for me and everyone else who used and loved the right-
side labels, and nobody likes that.

PLEASE BRING BACK RIGHT-SIDE LABELS! Please! 

In fact, why not allow any of the gadgets to be placed on either the left or right side of the screen? Let each user customize the view so that it works best for her! GIVE THE PEOPLE WHAT THEY WANT!

I couldn't agree more.  All of my most important emails use labels.  This sets me up to miss seeing an important email.  I may have to go back to Outlook. (Please don't make me have to go back to Outlook!)

I agree too. It was a VERY useful tool.
How can you just remove it? If people don't want it, they can just select "disable".
Quite frankly I don't care what studies have been done to prove the effectiveness of the new features and to justify this removal. I have been stacking labels and chat on the right side since the feature was first introduced. Now my interface is all messed up.

Bring it back please!

GAH!!!    MY ENTIRE LIFE IS RUINED NOW THAT RIGHT SIDE LABELS ARE GONE. Well maybe not why whole life but I REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY hate having labels on the left because of how I work and use labels. This is a Very Bad and Random feature deletion.

Please bring back my right side labels I have about 10, so its no use for me on the left side and plus it ruins my theme that I chose which is Tree,so by having the labels on the left side it pushes the tree down to the bottom where I cant see it whihc basically ruins one of your themes too.  Bring it back!

Agreed. New system solves nothing, tons of vertical scrolling still necessary, completely useless change, only hurt, didn't help. Good job Google.

My Inbox looks utterly ridiculous with my labels strewn down the left side with everything else. It's just about unmanageable and wastes tons of my time. And I've only been using it for 30 minutes!

I liked much more to have my labels on the right side.
But if Google wants to keep it on the left side, at least give us the ability to move other gadgets to the right.
I've got a long list of labels wich I need to keep visible at all times:
I've got no use for the new "label hiding" function.

In Gmail help (http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=118708), "Tell us what you think about the new features" is posted on the bottom of the "Using Labels" page.  Ask Google to bring back right side labels!

I'll give everyone on the Google Team a hug if you can bring back right-side labels.  Seriously....fly me to mountain view for a day and I'll hug the bejeesus out of the developers if they can bring me back my labels.

I agree. I had my labels visible on the right side.  Now, to keep the interface usable, I have to hide all labels.  Makes all the new features completely useless and removes features I used.

I want right side labels back!  Or else let me move the calendar gadget to the right column along with chat.  I use folder4gmail and do not want to hide any labels. Now my calendar is way off the screen! :(

Congratulations Google. You removed the dumb beta label and now your service sucks. Idiotic. Drag and drop is eye candy. Forced left side labels are annoying. Most of my emails have multiple labels, which drag and drop cannot handle.

It blows my mind that a company as big as Google would remove a massively popular feature and call it an upgrade. Reduced customization and functionality is not an upgrade.

Google is the new Yahoo, i.e., the new SUCK.
