I've had IMAP problems with my Mac mail running Snow Leopard and with my iPhone mail app since Monday. Has this been the same for many people I have not found a solution and there seems to be no number or email to get in touch with google to let them know this is happening. Any help would be greatly appreciated
I'm having problems also. We have just moved a bunch of users over to Gmail (apps) and the new users are unable to query via IMAP, although I can with my account from years ago.
same problem here - running google apps acct with imap and snow leopard - imap continually overloads and gives me a "Bandwidth exceeded error" - ive had to call google direct and have them reset it everytime this happens
This past weekend, I was unable to access gmail via IMAP with Snow Leopard for most of the weekend. I tried some suggestions that were emailed to me. None worked. Later, it just started working again until this morning around 11:00 when IMAP service stopped working. My gmail account has been off-line since 11:00ish this morning for no apparent reason. I tried all the various suggestions that were previously made, but nothing works. Does gmail's IMAP work at all now?
Yeah unless somehow some blogs like Engadget or Gizmodo or the News get ahold of this info it will probably never be fixed or months before it works. The google employees do not read these from I have heard. So good luck hope it works someday i.e my email on my iPhone and Mail App on my Macbook Pro still not working.
Same here. I have a POP account that is working and tried to reconfigure an IMAP account over to POP and I'm not having any luck. I also upgraded to Snow Leopard.
I'm having the same problem as well. I can log in to the account via the web. But, IMAP access via Apple Mail or iPhone just yields nothing. As of today, I get a username/password invalid error on the IMAP clients. However, the same combination works fine for access via the web. And most importantly, nothing has changed with my config that used to work a few days ago.
All of the sudden this morning both my Palm Treo and my laptop are reporting invalid login for username/password but logging in directly to gmail works fine. Any help?
I'm also having the problem: can sign in to the web fine, but imap is broken from multiple computers on multiple networks and iphone. CAPTCHA resetting does not help. I have not changed a thing in my config for months. My other google domain accounts (three of them) are working fine from the same networks and clients.
I am having problems with IMAP running on Win Mobile 6 device. This has worked for years and just suddenly decided to start causing problems recently. I cannot manual send/receive email but it seems to work when the cell send/receives message on a timed basis. Very strange. Google needs to give everyone some answers!!!
