I have a GrandCentral account -- I mean, a Google Voice account -- and a Google number and have been using it without trouble for some time now. In the last few weeks, however, I have found that when I call my Google Voice number from my mobile, in order to check my voicemail, I can't actually hear my voicemails at all. Everything else in the phone interface works fine. I hear the menus, I can respond to the prompts with my keypad, but when I try to listen to a message, I hear something like the following: "To listen to your messages, press one. [I press one.] First new message, from... unknown caller [or whatever]. [half-second pause] To return this call, press one... [etc.]." I can go through all the messages like this. Recorded names and numbers play back fine, but I just can't hear the content of the message. They appear to be silent and to have zero or close to zero duration. Transcriptions work fine, and listening online works fine.
Any suggestions? This makes Google Voice much less useful.
