How do I compare different metrics or date ranges for a single report?

Print

You can use the multi-line graphing feature in your reports to understand how different metrics or dates correlate together, and to customize the reports you'd like to compare.

On the date range selector for any of your reports, you can pick the conditions you want to include in your graph by choosing from the pull-down menu labeled "Comparison." You'll see a list of options including Site and Date Range. The key below describes what each colored line denotes in your graph:

Blue: Primary line for selected metric in your report
Orange: Secondary line denoting the selected comparison metric for your report
Green: Previous date range
Gray: Site average

To begin using the multi-line graphing feature, please read the following steps:

  1. Click on the pull-down arrow below the date range selector (next to the multi-line icons)
  2. A menu will expand with three different tabs labeled One Metric, Compare Two Metrics, and Compare to Site (or Date Range).

Select "One Metric" if you want to graph a single metric
Select "Compare Two Metrics" if you want to compare two metrics
Select "Compare to Site (or Date Range)" if you want to graph a line denoting a metric for your selected report compared to the metric denoting your site average

  3. Select an option from the drop-down menu. Your graph should repopulate with the correct line representing your selection.
  4. Click anywhere outside of the drop-down menu to finish.
