Optimization is the process of modifying your ad campaigns to improve the quality and performance of your AdWords ads.

Based on your advertising goals, initial optimizations may consist of simply adding new keywords and ad text, while more in-depth optimizations can involve reorganizing ad groups, rewriting ads, changing targeting options and other campaign settings, adjusting keyword matching types, and choosing the right landing pages.
