Using Google Accounts: Sharing your profile

How to share

You can share your Google Health profile with your doctor, your family, or anyone you like by following the steps below. Sharing your profile lets others see your profile, but not edit it; only you can do that.

  1. Click Share this profile on the left hand navigation.
  2. In the 'Share with' box, enter the email address(es) of the person or people you want to share your profile with.
  3. Click Send. An email with sharing instructions will be sent automatically. The link in the email will expire in 30 days.

What 'sharing' means

Since your Google Health profile is private data, it's important to understand exactly what it means to share your profile. Here's what happens if Adam shares his profile with Beverly.

  • Beverly can view all of the information in Adam's Google Health profile; her access lasts until Adam removes it.
  • Beverly cannot change any of the info in Adam's profile.
  • Beverly cannot share Adam's profile with anyone else.
  • Beverly cannot edit any of Adam's account settings, like his Google Account username or password.

Change your mind?

You can adjust who has access at any time by clicking Share this profile and viewing the See who has access tab. You'll see any email addresses with access to your profile and can make adjustments (don't forget to Save when you're done).
