This position is based in Mountain View, CA.

The area: Product Management and Marketing

With eyes focused squarely on the future, our team works closely with creative and prolific engineers to help design and develop technologies that improve access to the world's information. We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting and tailoring our solutions to all the markets where Google does business.

The role: Web Graphic Artist

Web Graphic Artists possess the ability to create graphics independently, as well as take direction in a team-based environment. You are a utility player with strong artistic ability, web design expertise, organizational skills, and great attention to detail. You should have great free-hand illustration skills and the ability to create clean web-ready designs. An online portfolio is required for consideration.

Responsibilities:

• Create web images and digital illustrations.
• Create graphical User Interface elements.
• Manipulate pixel-level details to create elegant icons.
• Optimize web images for download efficiency.
• Respond to a variety of web and graphics related requests across departments.

Requirements:

• BFA preferred (MFA a plus).
• Freehand illustration skills.
• Solid background and knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Strong knowledge of color theory and experience with graphics tablet.
• Ability to work collaboratively.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Online portfolio of work.
