Quantitative Compensation Specialist - Mountain View
This position is based in Mountain View, CA.

The role: Quantitative Compensation Specialist
As a Quantitative Compensation Specialist, you will develop, administer, and perform studies related to Google’s global pay programs. You are a quantitatively-minded individuals with an interest in the intersection between finance, data modeling, and business strategy. You must have the ability to juggle multiple tasks, the maturity to handle sensitive information and make sound decisions, and a strong desire to manage details and deliver results.
Responsibilities:
- Design and build processes, tools, and models to inform compensation program decisions and forecast, report, and/or analyze compensation business outcomes.
- Produce ad hoc analyses with rapid turnarounds based on business requests.
- Research, develop, and administer compensation programs and monitor program success.Partner with other Compensation Associates and HR Business Partners to solve compensation-related business problems and provide compensation guidance.
- Manipulate (often) large data sets in complex ways to tease meaning from the numbers.
Requirements:
- BA/BS degree in Mathematics, Business Administration, or another field that uses quantitative analysis preferred with a strong academic record. Advanced degree a plus.
- Deep interest in analyzing data and the ability to quickly conceptualize and implement client or model requirements.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (familiarity with statistical packages and/or SQL a plus).
- Excellent communications skills.
- Solutions and client service-oriented, with an emphasis on diligence and creativity.
