Although we hope to be able to offer orkut SMS to more users in the future, it's not currently available for users that aren't using Amazônia Celular, Brasil Telecom, Claro, Oi, Telemig Celular, TIM, and Vivo in Brazil.

orkut is experimenting with a feature that allows Amazônia Celular, Brasil Telecom, Claro, Oi, Telemig Celular, TIM, and Vivo users in Brazil to send scraps and receive scrap notifications using SMS on their cell phones. If you received a scrap from a friend with the word mobile written next to their name, it means they sent this scrap using their mobile phone.
