To tweet using Google Quick Search Box, you'll first need to associate your Twitter account with the Quick Search Box:
- Click the down arrow on the right-hand side of the search box.
- Select Preferences.
- Click the Add Accounts tab.
- Click Add.
- Select 'Twitter' as the account type you'd like to associate with the Quick Search Box.
- Enter your account name and password. Your password will be stored in the standard Apple keychain.
- Click Setup.
Once your account is set up, you can tweet by following these steps:
- Open the Quick Search Box.
- Enter the text you want to tweet. Don't forget Twitter's 140 character limit!
- Select the result offering a Google search for what you've entered.
- Press Tab on your keyboard to see your possible actions.
- Select Send Twitter Status.
- Press Enter on your keyboard.
You should soon receive a notification stating that you've successfully tweeted.

The option to do a Google search for the text you've entered doesn't always appear first in the Quick Search Box results. For that reason, you may prefer to use the following method to do a quick tweet:
- Open the Quick Search Box.
- Start by entering a space. (This tells the Quick Search Box to treat the text you enter as a text item rather than a search or a program name.)
- Enter the text you want to tweet.
- The default selected result should be a text item. Press Tab on your keyboard to see your possible actions.
- Select Send Twitter Status (or type 'tw' as a handy shortcut).
- Press Enter to send your tweet.
